Vivint Smart Home (VVNT) Reports Q3 Loss, Tops Revenue Estimates

Vivint Smart Home (VVNT) came out with a quarterly loss of $0.52 per share versus the Zacks Consensus Estimate of a loss of $0.36. This compares to loss of $0.58 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of -44.44%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this company would post a loss of $0.44 per share when it actually produced a loss of $0.38, delivering a surprise of 13.64%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates just once.

Vivint Smart Home, which belongs to the Zacks Retail – Consumer Electronics industry, posted revenues of $386.71 million for the quarter ended September 2021, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 8.86%.
