Investar (ISTR) Tops Q4 Earnings Estimates

Investar (ISTR) came out with quarterly earnings of $0.56 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.55 per share. This compares to earnings of $0.39 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of 1.82%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this holding company for Investar Bank would post a loss of $1.07 per share when it actually produced a loss of $1.06, delivering a surprise of 0.93%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates three times.

Investar, which belongs to the Zacks Banks – Southeast industry, posted revenues of $23.15 million for the quarter ended December 2021, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 1.73%.
