Brexit has caused disruption to just about every seller who lists offers on the Amazon UK or EU marketplaces. To assist you, there will be an important Amazon FBA Brexit Webinar being held this coming Monday, the 15th of February. So what are the main issues we are hoping will be addressed in the Amazon FBA Brexit Webinar?

First, there’s now a border down the English Channel which creates one FBA pool in the UK and another on continental Europe.
Next, Amazon will no longer ship across the channel so even if a buyer wants to purchase from the UK, Amazon won’t ship to Europe and vice versa.
Finally, even if you want to get stock across the channel, carriers are returning shipments where paperwork is incorrect and this appears to be a pretty regular occurrence as even Amazon Partnered Carrier Programme has been suspended to clear the backlog of returns that didn’t make it across the border.

There is no question that this is a problem for Amazon even though the biggest impact is being felt by marketplace sellers. It’s also worth pointing out that if you’re based outside Europe, perhaps in the US, China or elsewhere around the world, the Amazon Brexit issues will also be impacting you. If you haven’t split your FBA stock to locate some in the UK and some in the EU then you will be missing out on potential sales and are probably starting to see your revenues fall since the start of the year.
